![Monopoly Traditional Japanese Crafts Hokkaido-Tohoku Folk Toys Monopoly Traditional Japanese Crafts Hokkaido-Tohoku Folk Toys]()
Nakagawa Masashichi Shoten has created this brilliant Japanese crafts version of the world's most famous board game. The Monopoly Traditional Japanese Arts & Crafts Hokkaido-Tohoku Folk Toy Edition is played just like the usual game of Monopoly, only this time the beautifully detailed board features products from Japan's various craft centers. Players use deer tokens, representing the iconic animals that roam freely in the ancient capital of Nara.
As you move around the board and acquire assets, you can learn about the different crafts in Japan and their materials. Instead of the conventional community chest and chance cards, you have Zipangu and Future cards (bilingual in Japanese and English) that continue the crafts theme.
This is a spacial Hokkaido-Tohoku edition of the Japanese crafts Monopoly game, also including six special tokens representing crafts and folk toys from regions in northern Japan. For example, there is a carved wooden bear, a Kokeshi doll, and two Sasano Bori (wood-crafted) chickens.
