Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Mascot KendamaThanks to online videos, the traditional Japanese skill toy kendama (literally, "sword-and-ball," the "sword" derived from its handle) has become an international success recently, attracting new interest to the cup-and-ball toy genre, variations of which can be found in many cultures. Offering players a glimpse into the Edo period (1603-1868) in Japan, this toy was bound to find its way into the official Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics merchandise list before long. And so the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Mascot Kendama came to be! The toy is available in two colors/versions: a blue one feature the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games mascot, Miraitowa, while the pink version has its companion, the Paralympic Games mascot Someity. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Mascot Kendama is an ABS body and nylon rope version of the classic kendama, making it more durable than conventional models. Easy to play but, like all juggling toys, hard to master, this is an investment that will last for years, serving as a memento of the (delayed) Tokyo Olympics, the second edition of the Summer Olympics in the city and the first ever edition of the Games to be held on a different year than the one in their name! The Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Mascot Kendama features: Options: blue (Olympics/Miraitowa), pink (Paralympics/Someity) Official Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games merchandise with mascots Traditional kendama cup-and-ball toy Dimensions: 80 x 180 mm (3.1 x 7”) Materials: ABS, nylon
