Rosanjin Natto-bachiThe past few years we have seen a big trend among Japan's toy makers for toys that bring cooking to life for kids. Takara Tomy has been at the forefront of this and here's another great example. The Rosanjin Natto-bachi was then born to make eating fermented soybeans (natto) fun for children. We all know that natto is super healthy but less and less people are consuming the beans, especially among the younger generation. For some helpful advice, the folks at Takara Tomy Arts turned to Rosanjin Kitaoji, the famed writer and potter, and his recipe for mixing natto with soy sauce. According to Rosanjin, delicious natto first needs to be mixed 305 times. Once you put your beans in, the Natto-bachi will only open up again after you have turned the handle the required number of times! Then you pour in some soy sauce and go back to the mixing. Once you have reached a total of 424 turns, you have finishing making the perfect natto dish, at least, that's according to Rosanjin! Here's a video demonstrating the cooking process! The Rosanjin Natto-bachi features: Size: 120 x 175 x 90mm (4.7 x 6.9 x 3.5") Designed for use with natto fermented soybean Recommended for ages 15 and over Instructions: Japanese (but easy to use)
