![KD Daruma KD Daruma]()
The KD Daruma has been voted the best souvenir by the Japan Tourism Agency and we can see why. This inventive "knock-down" Bodhidharma is a paper model created by a special group of a local companies in Takasaki in Gunma, the city famous for producing the classic red daruma dolls.
The KD Daruma, though, is far from red. Daruma dolls are famous for being able to roll and stand back upright if knocked down. The flat-pack KD Daruma is the opposite; it's originally flat and then you build it up. This time it has a minimal sphere and structure, made either from cardboard or plywood. Choose your preferred material and then assemble the daruma by yourself.
The KD Daruma features:
Versions: cardboard or plywood
Self-assembly
Instructions: English and Japanese
